Well we had a few teething problems and panics what with the venue we had booked deciding this would be the ideal time to resurface their floor, and confusion about what end of Oxford we were in. But we were very happy to be running our first workshop after half a year of pondering different ideas and planning (yes it took us that long.. we are still on baby-time lol).
Today was great for ideas on how to make things run more smoothly next time, and thank you to everyone who gave us such helpful feedback this morning. It was lovely to meet you all and your gorgeous babies!
Today was our first meet back after the summer break – the chilled summer holiday vibe was still there… a nice relaxed sociable meet and a sunny garden for the older kids to play in.
BIG thanks to everyone who brought back freshly washed slings – some were so freshly washed they were still damp
Ah, the satisfaction of a washing line festooned with slings…
All our slings that aren’t on loan for the summer are taking a well-earned break with a bit of spa treatment
Oxford Sling Meet hosted our first sling sale on July 21st. We had stalls from local sling vendors Tumbebe and Bebesnuggles, cloth nappies from The Nappy Fairy, a popular For Sale or Trade stall which saw a lively auction over a bargain Ergo, and a very successful refreshments table which raised lots of money for registered charity La Leche League.
It was a great way to mark our last meet before the summer break, and we hope to make this a regular event!
